On July 31st, 2021, HBO decided to launch HBO MAX that is a replacement to HBO Go and HBO Now. HBO Max is designed to offer current HBO users a larger library to choose from without an extra cost. However; what exactly can you watch on them?
The answer would be that HBO, in general, offers a huge variety of movies and series. Warner Media has the rights to productions that go back to tens of years Thus, HBO is the go-to place for people interested in watching classic shows like “Rick and Morty.” The company also owns rights to various blockbuster movies like “The Lord of the Rings.” In addition to all that, an HBO Max subscription is the only way to watch “studio Ghibli” anime films.
HBO started creating their original productions in 1972 with “Inside the NFL” being their first series. Since then, they produced multiple successful series/movies. Other than the original content, the HBO Max library includes a wide range of TV series from TNT, Cartoon Network and many more.
What about HBO MAX Same-Day Movies’ Releases?
Warner Media announced that their strategy for the 2021 movies with a lot of movies being aired on HBO Max on the same day of their release in theatres. These movies will be available for 31 days, so users can enjoy their favorite blockbusters in their own homes at their own pace. This is a very unique service that no other streaming platform other than HBO offers to its users.
