What do HBO users think of it?

/ OFF-ONLINE ANALYSIS

HBO (Home Box Office) is a Warner Media Studios & Networks’ owned pay TV network. It is a place for anyone to watch groundbreaking shows, documentaries, films and series. HBO has been recognized for years as one of the most influential and respected entertainment brands in the world.

Like any other brand, people have different opinions about it, in general. Through this article we are going to showcase the answers provided to us on “Quora” when we asked people about their opinions on a) whether HBO should reduce its subscription rate of 15$ per month or not, b) whether the company should consider producing a 9th season of “Game of Thrones”, and c) where they rank HBO in comparison to its competitors. Answering requests were sent to users with the highest number of answers under the topic names’ “HBO” or “Game of Thrones” depending on the question.

When asked about how they rate HBO in comparison to other streaming platforms, George Quintoriano answered that he would rank HBO a step below Disney + and higher in ranking than Amazon Prime Video. He believes that HBO has a very wide library of movies and niche content such as animation, however; it lacks either the massive flow of titles that Netflix has or the library that includes some of the industry’s biggest names like Disney +. He, however; believes that HBO has high potentials to be No.1 if they managed to integrate the Warner Media and/or the Discovery+ library.

Patrick Darrow Bohan also commented on the subject mentioning that he would give HBO MAX an A+ for their content, yet C- for the service. There is a sense of frustration regarding the streaming quality, in general; it is either slow, buffering or not booting up at all.

Should HBO reduce its 15% monthly subscription fee or not?

Another question was also raised about whether HBO should reduce its 15$ monthly subscription fee or not. David S Yip believes that even there are cable channels’ subscription prices that are less than this amount; there is no reason why HBO would do that. This subscription fee is a very important reason for the company to have a competitive edge.

Should HBO produce a 9th season of “Game of Thrones”?

The third question posted was about whether “Game of Thrones” will ever get a 9th season or not. Susan Bertolino gave us a concrete answer why she believes that this won’t happen. First, she truly believes that the 8th season was a big failure, very lousy and badly produced. She believes, however; that people now should maybe give “The House of Dragons” a chance. She thinks it is very promising from the Trailer. Susan also believes that if a 9th season of “Game of Thrones” will ever be produced, then it should be in like 20 years.
